"...She lit up the Capri stage like a one-woman Holidazzle parade." Jon Bream, Star Tribune, in a review of Oglesby's recent performance at the Capri Theater.

Get ready for Greta Oglesby and friends to light up our Live on the Drive stage for the first concert of the season - and her first jazz concert ever in the Twin Cities. Ms. Ogelsby is an astounding singer and actor who has dazzled local audiences since moving here in 2000. Most notably, she played the lead in Caroline, or Change at the Guthrie in 2009, described as "the best performance on a Twin Cities stage this year." Ms. Oglesbly also brings her talents to the northside by teaching theater to students at the Plymouth Christian Youth Center. We eagerly anticipate her Live on the Drive jazz debut!

The setting:
Victory Memorial Drive is a beautiful, tree-lined parkway that is one of the nation's largest World War I memorials. Hennepin County and its project partners, along with veterans and community groups, have recently invested more than $6 million in the restoration of this historical place. Concert-goers can visit with members of the Camden Community Historical Society to learn more about the history of the Drive and surrounding neighborhoods.

Sponsors and More:
Live on the Drive is presented by founding partner, North Memorial, with the Cleveland Neighborhood Association, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, North End Hardware, The Lowry Cafe, Washburn McReavy, the Victory, Webber Camden and Folwell Neighborhood Associations, NorthNews and the COMPAS Community Arts Program with funds provided by the McKnight Foundation.

"Concert-goers say it best: 'Live on the Drive is good fun...people enjoying GREAT music and each other.' " said Sue Lundquist, marketing manager for North Memorial. "We're honored to continue this partnership with the community and look forward to enjoying another great summer of music with our Northside neighbors."

Concertgoers are encouraged to save gas and walk or roll to the events.

Mark your calendars and plan to attend all three "Live on the Drive" concerts. For further information, call 612-588-1155 or see www.liveonthedrive.org.
