Seniors Needing Exterior Maintenance Help On Your Block?

PEELING_PAINT_ON_THIS_NEPTUNE_ROAD_HOUSE_TYPIFIES_NEGLECT_OF_EXTERIOR_HOME_MAINTENANCE_BY_RESIDENTS_OF_THIS..._-_NARA_-_549289Hearts and Hammers is an organization that assists seniors and disabled homeowners with exterior maintenance and this fall they will be holding a volunteer day focused in North Minneapolis, with a goal of painting 25 homes!

If you are a senior or disabled homeowner and might be in need of some painting, or you know of someone in need, please contact Kesha with Cleveland Neighborhood Association at (612) 588-1155 to obtain more information.

We here at the Cleveland Neighborhood Association would also like to extend an invitation to all those that would be interested in volunteering to help paint! Contact our office about how you can volunteer to help a neighbor in need.

Free Financial Guidance Sessions

finance1Do you feel overwhelmed by your finances or bogged down by debt? Do you have trouble making it to the next paycheck before running out of money? Do you have questions but feel like the financial professionals you speak to are only trying to sell you something?

Traci Johnson is a Certified Financial Planner™ who has lived in the Cleveland neighborhood for 14 years. She’s worked in Financial Services for nearly 20 years and is eager to help the residents of our community achieve financial wellness and balance. She will hold office hours at the Cleveland Neighborhood Organization office on June 21st between 10:00 am and 2:00pm. Stop by to talk with Traci about your questions on debt and money management, budgeting and savings. Please note that no financial products will be sold or specific investment recommendations made.

Volunteer for Store to Door Without Leaving Your House

Brighten a senior’s day and help them remain at home. Be a volunteer order taker for Store To Door.

As a Volunteer Order Taker, you will form an ongoing relationship with seniors in the community who need your help!  Volunteer from your home or work to take grocery orders once a week over the phone and enter them into Store To Door’s online system.  You pick the day and time to make your calls.

One hour a week can make a difference in someone’s life, including yours.

For 30 years Store To Door has provided nonprofit grocery shopping & delivery to aging adults in the Twin Cities.
