The Cleveland Neighborhood Association’s Youth Committee is excited to be hosting our second annual series of Party in the Park events on the third Wednesday of June, July and August as a way to connect neighbors with one another and resources and opportunities in their community. The event is held near our office in the green space between Cleveland Park and Lucy Craft Laney School near Penn and Lowry Avenues north and reaches residents in the Cleveland Neighborhood and surrounding area.
This year we’ve chosen themes for the three Party in the Park events. June 18th we’ll feature the theme of Summer Fun and Safety, July 16th we’ll have Healthy Living, and August 20th we’ll round it out with Back to School themes. We’d love for you to join us at the events as a resident or come as an organization. Come for Dinner, stay for the community!

Hello Cleveland Neighborhood, my name is Regina Cole; I am a new intern from the Social Justice Internship Program, HECUA. I am very pleased to have this opportunity to join CNA as an Intern this semester, and hope to become a valuable asset of your family in the further future. One of my goals is to serve and assist families living in poverty. Family and community involvement is very important to me and are key components in developing good relationships, and I hope to be a part of the great things CNA does to ensure that happens. Here is some information on my background; I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and moved to Minneapolis, MN in 2009; currently studying Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota. When I am not studying I am feeding, cleaning, entertaining, chasing, and comforting my two-year old daughter by the name of Ariel.
The Camden Music School, located right here in the Cleveland Neighborhood, celebrated it’s 9th anniversary of providing great music programming to local youth and families. We’re grateful to have such an amazing program right here in the neighborhood and grateful for the years of dedication Janet Zahn, CMS Director, has given to the help make Live on the Drive an essential part of summer in north Minneapolis. Here’s to another 9 years making music in Cleveland!
As a neighborhood organization, we recognize that happy and healthy families are key to a thriving community. When we have the opportunity, we make tickets available to Cleveland residents to take young people in their home or on their block to events, museums and more. Below are a few upcoming opportunities we’d like to offer to you. If you are interested in attending any of the events, please
